Tennessee’s Best Place for Oil Changes
Getting regular oil changes is one of the most important things you can do for your car, truck, van or SUV. Changing a vehicle’s oil on schedule is essential to preserving its performance, improving its fuel efficiency, and extending its lifespan – not to mention avoiding mechanical issues, right up to total engine failure!
Changing a car’s oil isn’t all that complicated – but it is dirty, and a downright pain in the neck if you aren’t sure what you’re doing (or just don’t have that much free time). If you’d like an expert to take care of this all-important facet of vehicle maintenance, then you’ve already found the best. CAR FIX offers oil changes at all twelve of our conveniently located auto service centers throughout East Tennessee!
Engine Oil Is Essential
It’s easy to overlook the importance of engine oil. It lubricates multiple moving parts in a vehicle, which prevents them from generating excessive heat and friction – two forces which gradually wear out mechanical components.
Science has yet to develop an oil that doesn’t break down over time. When it does, the parts it was intended to lubricate are no longer protected against the heat and friction they generate through normal operation. In no uncertain terms, if your vehicle’s engine oil is old, then many of its parts are necessarily breaking down faster than they should. The outcome can be catastrophic.
Don’t risk destroying your vehicle. The ideal oil change for its age, mileage, make and model await at a nearby CAR FIX!
How Often Should You Change Your Oil?
The old rule of thumb is that you should change your oil every three months or 3,000 miles. But this isn’t always necessarily the case! Your driving habits and the nature of your vehicle both determine just how often you should change its oil.
Not sure whether it’s time to change your oil or not? The answer awaits at CAR FIX! Once they have understood your vehicle and how you drive it, one of our ASE certified mechanics will advise just how often you should replace your oil – as well as which type of oil you should replace it with.
